Patra

Drawing from the many silhouettes of Indian vessels—matkas, lotas, urns—the forms are abstracted, transforming objects once made to hold and contain into objects made to stand. Necks extend beyond function. Bodies swell, tilt, or taper unexpectedly. Bases thicken, asserting gravity. Cast in brass, the pieces are familiar, rooted in tradition, yet their functionality is redefined for a different space.

A glass blower working with molten glass, creating a glowing yellow-orange glass object amidst billowing smoke and steam, with tools and hands visible in the process.

Casting

Casting is a manufacturing method that transforms molten metal into a specific shape, allowing for the creation of various objects and components.

It takes on precise forms as it cools within a mould, giving rise to a wide range of objects and components.
